Peace and Hope for the Children of Colombia Dear friend, It has been fifteen years since I moved to the United States. Every year I try to do something special for the country where I come from, Colombia. Two years ago, I have chosen to join an incredible organization, which helps so many poor children. Peace and Hope for the Children of Colombia is a non-profit organization, which was established in Miami on March 17, 2001. The main Objective is to provide financial, technical and professional support to other Colombian Foundations, which are exclusively dedicated to poor children. Of the 40 million people living in Colombia 24 million are considered to be poor, and 16 million of those 24 live in total poverty. Peace and Hope for the children of Colombia supports poor children with cancer, and hundreds of other children that live without a good nutrition, education and medical services.
